Trails community guidelines.
These user policies apply to Trails on the website, Android and iPhone. Before you create or upload a Trail, photo or profile, you must agree to these guidelines. Updated October 15, 2026.
Share something worth discovering
Keep names, descriptions, curator notes and photos relevant and accurate. Distinguish your own experience from a recommendation or public source. Do not post fake reviews, impersonate someone, spam, or mislead people about a place, opening hours or accessibility.
No objectionable or harmful content
Trails does not allow sexual content or nudity, graphic violence, threats, hate speech, harassment, bullying, exploitation, or illegal content. Do not promote illegal activity, trespassing, dangerous challenges or harm to people or animals. Do not use Trails to sell restricted products or services.
Respect privacy and ownership
Use only text and images you own or have permission to share. Do not publish another person’s private contact details, home address, live location or other personal information without their permission. Public venue information belongs in a discovery; your personal visit notes and dates stay private.
Explore responsibly
A Trail is a collection of ideas, not a verified route, safety assessment or guarantee that a place is open. Follow local rules and official visitor guidance. Check current information before visiting. Listings of bars or other age-restricted venues do not override local age requirements.
Reports, blocking and moderation
Use “Report a problem” on a Trail, place or profile to flag incorrect details or objectionable content. Block an abusive profile to hide its content from your discovery. The Trails team reviews reports and can hide or remove content and restrict abusive accounts. Do not evade a block or repost removed material.
For content concerns or an appeal, contact hello@lavs.info with a link and a description. Never send your password. For an immediate danger, contact the appropriate emergency service.
